Engineered for exceptional performance, durability and contaminant exclusion in severe service applications, the STEMCO® Grit Guard® hub seal features a two-piece design that reduces maintenance and unnecessary wear on expensive spindles
Grit Guard Deflector Rings create a robust new running surface for sealing lip, repairing worn or damaged spindle shoulders. The deflector ring also provides superior metal to metal heat dissipation, so seals run cooler and last longer.
The exceptionally durable casing provides a metal-to-metal press fit between the seal and hub. Blue bore sealant is applied to the seal to prevent minor seepage between hub and seal.
The leather sealing lip rotates on the deflector ring for improved heat dissipation. The sealing lip remains flexible and durable in the most grueling environments and temperatures beyond -40°F.
Axle deflector ring gives a new running surface where the seal lip contacts seal the shoulder after each installation, providing new life to older spindles.
Grit Guard seals are designed for rugged, severe-duty applications that exceed the capabilities of other seals, excelling in dirty, cold environments.
