All-in-one wheel-end solution offers improved safety and efficiency for installation process, with exclusive availability and warranty for Great Dane customers
LONGVIEW, Texas (Decemer 6, 2023) – STEMCO, an Enpro company (NYSE: NPO) and manufacturer of heavy-duty components and solutions for commercial vehicles, has announced a new strategic agreement with Great Dane to promote safety and simplify wheel end component installation. According to the agreement, the new Auto-Torq® axle fastener from STEMCO will come standard on all Great Dane trailers.
“By incorporating the STEMCO Auto-Torq axle fastener, we are removing complexity from our installation process,” said Barry Personett, VP of Product and Sales Engineering for Great Dane. “This works with any industry hub manufacturer, simplifies installation, and extends bearing life by ensuring that the optimum clamp load is applied.”
Introduced to the market earlier this year, the Auto-Torq is an innovative axle fastener that eliminates the need for complex processes and specialty tools. It securely applies the optimum clamp load on the bearings every time to minimize wear and maximize service life.

The extended warranty includes eight years parts and labor and will be available to customers starting in January of 2024.
