STEMCO Reaches Trademark Agreement With Goodyear®

LONGVIEW, TEXAS (December 16, 2015) — STEMCO, an EnPro Industries company (NYSE: NPO) and leading manufacturer of heavy-duty components and solutions for the commercial vehicle market, has officially reached a trademark license agreement (TMLA) with the Goodyear® Tire & Rubber Company.

The new TMLA follows STEMCO’s recent acquisition of Goodyear® Air Springs. It gives STEMCO, as the licensee, the authority to continue using Goodyear® trademarks and brand names when marketing and selling Super Cushion® air springs.

“Goodyear Air Springs are regarded as the highest quality, most respected air springs product lines in the commercial trucking industry,” said Todd Anderson, president of STEMCO. “Continuing to use the Goodyear brand name lets us maintain consistency and familiarity in the air springs market as the new supplier of these trusted products. We’re glad they are now part of the STEMCO family.”

The acquisition included the Goodyear Super Cushion® and Spring Ride® lines of truck, trailer and truck cab suspension products, as well as cab seat springs. All products will continue to be manufactured in the same facility.

“The strong brand presence and excellent reputation that Goodyear has established is very well deserved,” Anderson added. “Using the Goodyear brand name gives our customers the reassurance that they are still purchasing the same air springs they have relied on for years.”

STEMCO acquired the manufacturer of Goodyear® air springs, as well as Super Cushion® and Spring Ride® air springs, from ContiTech in July 2015. ContiTech is a division of Continental Corporation. Their air springs business unit was part of the business called Veyance, which was acquired by Continental in January 2015.
